Recharting the Course

This book embraces and acknowledges the President's and Vice President's long history of supporting the rights of individuals with disabilities. The principles of independence, empowerment, and inclusion have guided the Clinton Administration's efforts to shape national policy for Americans with disabilities. This book is intended to inform the President and the public about progress made by the task force to date in response to the executive order. Readers should regard this as an interim report and an invitation to invite dialogue about important issues about adult disability.
