In 2018 The Universal Design and Higher Education in Transformation Congress (UDHEIT2018) will be held at Dublin Castle, Ireland from 30 October to 2 November 2018. This exciting four-day event will bring together key experts from industry, education, government and non-government organisation sectors to share experiences and knowledge with all participants.  This congress aims to   transform our world through celebrating and integrating all that is good in design, diversity and education.

The Institute for Human Centered Design (IHCD) is pleased to announce that Dr. Carpman, our long-time collaborator and colleague, will be joining IHCD in a new role, our first Director of Wayfinding.  
 
Jan has more than 30 years’ experience as a wayfinding consultant (with Carpman Grant Associates) to medical, educational, arts & cultural, government, and other public facilities. With her longtime partner, Myron Grant, and sign designer, Dick Nicolson, she has analyzed, planned, and designed wayfinding systems for over 70 organizations with large, complex sites and buildings, and has involved thousands of users in her work.
