Measuring the gap between subway car and platform

The City of Cambridge is looking for a group of individuals with a diverse range of abilities and backgrounds to go out with a group of designers from the Institute for Human Centered Design to assess your experience with public transit and how we can make it better.

We are looking for people that have a wide range of functional limitations such as vision loss, hearing loss, mobility and balance impairments, as well as non-native English speakers, just to name a few. If selected you would work with a team of designers to evaluate the T stations and major bus routes in Cambridge. For your time and insights you will receive a 1-month free Charlie Card. No special skills required except a willingness to be honest about what works and what doesn’t!

If this is something you are interested in participating in please call (617) 259 1655 or email wcrolius@ihcdesign.org.
