Ed Steinfeld Award March 25, 2010

Feb 24, 2010

The disability rights movement has led to many small but ultimately significant changes to building design practices. Dr. Steinfeld will make a short presentation to demonstrate how these changes are having an impact in everyone's lives and also influencing iconic works of architecture. The impact of the work of the Center for Inclusive Design and Evnironmental Access (IDeA Center) will be highlighted both at the presentation and at a reception and open house at the IDeA Center immediately after.

Edward Steinfeld joined UB in 1978 as an Associate Professor of Architecture. In 1984 he established the Center for Inclusive Design and Environmental Access and has led its development from a small laboratory to an internationally known center of excellence. The IDeA Center is one of the most successful research programs in architecture in the U.S.
