Following a competitive bid, IHCD has recently been awarded a contract by the Georgia Institute of Technology to conduct a comprehensive ADA Self-Evaluation leading to an ADA Transition Plan of this 400 acre, with more than 21,000 students.  U.S. News and World Report 2014 recently rated GIT as the #7 public university in the nation. Remarkable growth has resulted in a doubling of buildings in just over twenty years.  Over the next 18 months, IHCD will survey all indoor and outdoor spaces, work with the GIT staff to analyze compliance with administrative requirements under both Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the ADA as well as program access.  IHCD will also review selected GIT websites for accessibility with current requirements and conduct an assessment of wayfinding on this remarkable 24/7 campus distinguished by its commitment to sustainability and diversity.
