Kelsey is a native of North Carolina and received her Bachelor’s of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2021. She is also a triplet and has proficiency inAmerican Sign Language (ASL). Her ambition for designing inclusively, specifically for Veterans, brought her to Boston Architectural College, where she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Design for Human Health.
She is passionate about how the role of design can revitalize the sense of belonging, being, and the feeling of “home” in buildings and spaces. Kelsey joined IHCD in 2022, and since then her role has included assisting in accessibility surveys of municipalities and museums, GIS PROW surveys of streets, sidewalks, and parks, as well as participating in contextual inquiry research with User/Experts.
