Renee Wells is a nationally recognized accessibility consultant for cultural institutions. She has advised on accessibility and inclusion for a wide range of museums such as Old Sturbridge Village, the Metropolitan Museum, the Smithsonian Institution and the British Museum. Ms. Wells serves on the national advisory committee and consults on accessibility for the Association of Science-Technology Centers, Inc. (ASTC). She lectures and presents workshops on accessibility, audience development and disability awareness nationally. Her work promoting equal access for people with disabilities to cultural experience over the last four decades included serving as Director of Special Education/Early Childhood Specialist at the Children’s Museum, Boston; co-founding the national Access Network for Museums; and directing the Access Resource Team (ART) Team for the Vermont Arts Council. Ms. Wells completed a five year program at the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles in Child Studies, Sand Play and Art Therapy.
