Risako Nozaki

Risako (she/her/hers) joined IHCD in 2022 after graduating from the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a minor in Urban Design. Previously she has interned at Shigeru Ban Architects in Tokyo and Inclusive Design Alliance in St. Louis. Risako has a strong interest in urban design and is passionate about public space, with its need for more equity and inclusion.

She believes that true inclusivity is only possible at the intersection of good policy and good design. Her role includes creating visual graphics for communication and guidelines, researching to inform inclusive design, and assisting with accessibility surveys.
