Visions of Urban Excellence

This book presents the 1997 winners on the nature of urban excellence, and of the criteria they developed. Detailed case studies of each 1997 winner are included. The case studies are based upon the site visits conducted in the winter of 1997 and the selection committee discussion about each place.
