On July 26th, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA is a civil rights law that protects people with disabilities from discrimination on the basis of disability. We celebrate how far we’ve come while recognizing that there is work to be done.

Changing Reality of Disability in America 2020

This national project illuminates a compelling story about the experience of disability in America today to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the passage of the ADA on July 26th in 2020. A key focus of our research is to go beyond the data to tell stories of people who inform our understanding of what full participation requires today. This project is funded by Dr. Allan R. Meyers Memorial Project.
